Status: early access. Gpaynow Card API v2 is a planned virtual card API for businesses in Nigeria and elsewhere. It is not live yet: no card issuer is connected, and API keys, webhooks and a test environment are not available yet. You can join the waitlist today, and no payment is taken until your access is approved.
In short: a virtual card API lets your software create and manage Visa or Mastercard cards through code instead of a dashboard. Gpaynow Card API v2 is being built for fintechs, wallets and platforms that want to give their users prepaid cards. If you only need a card for yourself today, you can buy a prepaid virtual card in our store with crypto, with no KYC to buy.
Most people searching for a virtual card API in Nigeria are businesses, not shoppers. They want to issue cards inside their own product:
Local cards are often declined on international services such as ad platforms, cloud providers and software subscriptions. Banks can also change international spending limits at short notice. A card API lets a business create cards for exactly the spend it needs and control them from its own app.
These features are planned and may change before launch:
Cards will be issued by a licensed card-issuing partner once one is connected. Gpaynow is not the card issuer. Every business will need business verification (KYB), and every cardholder will need identity checks (KYC), before live cards are issued.

If you are an individual or a small team that needs one or a few cards now, you do not need an API. Our store sells prepaid virtual Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Mir cards that you pay for from your Gpaynow balance, topped up with crypto. Each card price is the card balance plus a one-time activation fee ($5, or $15 on $300 cards), there are no monthly fees, and there is no KYC to buy. Some merchants refuse prepaid cards, so check the merchant's payment rules first. Browse the cards.
